French-American Chambers of Commerce

AmCham France and the French-American Chamber of Commercce in the United States (FACC) have signed a Cooperation Agreement enabling the members of each organization to benefit from the other organization’s activities in the French-American business communities on each side of the Atlantic.

The FACC, which is headquartered in New York, and AmCham are each membership organizations composed of firms involved in French-American trade and investment.  Under the Cooperation Agreement, the FACC and AmCham develop synergies in their various activities, which include seminars and other events as well as trade services, internships and overseas business promotion and representation.

During the July 2008 signing ceremony, Serge Bellanger, President of the French-American Chamber of Commerce noted that both the FACC and AmCham currently offer a full calendar of events and services for their members. "This agreement will now make it possible for members of each Chamber network to benefit from the broad range of activities offered by the other organization," Bellanger said.  AmCham President, Jean-Claude Gruffat added that the Agreement "significantly expands the benefits that members of each organization can obtain, at the same time that it extends the overall impact of the two organizations’ efforts to expand the economic relationship between France and the United States."
