AMCHAM BRIEFING 5 - Simplification

The simplification for companies (simplification pour les entreprises) is part of the simplification shock program (choc de simplification), which was introduced by President Hollande in March 2013 in order to stimulate the economic activity. What the program aims to achieve for companies: To implement lighter, faster procedures between the French administration and companies, without challenging essential rights and protection standards already in place. How the program works: The Conseil de Simplification pour les entreprises was created in 2014. It is co-chaired by Laurent Grandguillaume (French MP, PS) and Françoise Holder (President, Force Femmes), and composed of business and elected representatives, experts and high-ranking officials (see full com-position here). Through theme-based, collaborative workshops, the Council has already released 150 measures and will continue to provide new material until 2017.
