Women as Leaders – Are They Breaking the Glass Ceiling?

With Alison MAITLAND, The Conference Board’s Council Director for Diversity in Business
Jean-Michel MONNOT, Vice President, Group Diversity & Inclusion, SODEXO
Why is it that many boardrooms and executive suites are still no-go areas for women? Are quotas the best way for business to achieve gender balance in the top leadership? The business case for women is becoming more persuasive all the time. Women are vital as consumers and employees. They are crucial to sustaining economic growth in our ageing and increasingly diverse societies.
So what message does it give to employees in a company, to consumers or to investors if men still take all the key decisions at the top? What opportunities are businesses missing? What approaches have been tried and tested by the best in class companies to retain and promote talented women? What challenges do our council members face and what can we expect to see as the key trends?
At this briefing, executives will have a chance to have these questions answered as well as share their insights and challenges with a local group of interested peers.
This is a personal invitation. Please reserve early, as places are limited.
