  • United Way Worldwide Roundtable on Philanthropy

    The United Way Worldwide Leadership Council invites United Way and community leaders to join them at the United Way Roundtable on Philanthropy in Paris this May. The Roundtable will bring together like-minded leaders from around the world to discuss how we might work together, in communities and across regions, through collective action and with shared value, to advance the common good. The format for the gathering will alternate presentations by well-known speakers with small group discussion. Participation will be intentionally kept small, from 50 to 60 participants.

    The agenda will include an unusual excursion to Notre Dame Cathedral where, after the cathedral is closed to tourists, our group will be treated to a brief private concert by the organist and choir. Afterwards, we’ll stroll to the nearby 13th century monastery, Collège des Bernardines, a master piece of medieval architecture for dinner under the arches of the Nave.

    Attendees will stay at the Paris- Le Grand Intercontinental Hotel. With floodlit views of the Opera House, this superbly renovated luxury hotel is located in the 9th arrondissement, close to the Louvre Museum, shopping, theatre and banking districts. The room rate is 420 E per night, including breakfast.
