• U.S. Social Security--Navigating the System

    June 11 2009, 18:30 - 18:30
Location: AmCham France, 156 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris

      For all U.S. ex-pats – “U.S. Social Security--Navigating the System “
As Americans working in France and having or intending to work in the U.S., you owe it to yourself to know about your right to an old-age pension from U.S. Social Security, how contributing to a French pension can reduce your U.S. benefits, and whether and how you can qualify for Medicare on retirement.  As abstract as these issues may be for you today, they will affect your financial situation in retirement (whether in the US or France), and require advance planning to achieve the protection you will need.
AARO and AmCham France are pleased to hold of a Workshop on U.S. Social Security and Medicare on June 11, 2009 from 6:30 to 8:30PM.  The workshop will be conducted by Loretta Terry, U.S. Federal Benefits (Social Security) Director in Europe. She will answer questions from the audience after her presentation.  AARO's Chairman for Social Security matters, Tom Rose, will also contribute to the Q&A session.
