INVITATION: Regulatory Cooperation in TTIP - Presentation and Discussion of the U.S. Chamber's approach on March 18, 2015, in Paris

    Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce we would like to invite you to the following event on March 18th, 2015, in Paris:

Regulatory Coherence & Cooperation in the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP):

Presentation and Discussion of the US Chamber’s approach

As many Europeans are concerned that TTIP could lower protections for consumers, workers, savers and the environment, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has published position paper on Regulatory Coherence & Cooperation in the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) describing what American business wants and why TTIP itself will neither lower nor raise regulatory levels in either the US or the EU.

The principal author of the paper, Sean Heather, Vice President for the Chamber's Global Regulatory Cooperation Center, will briefly present the paper and then respond to detailed comments from a panel of independent experts from government, consumer interests, business and academia. This will be followed by a panel of four industry representatives who will explain whether and how this approach could help create jobs in the auto, pharmaceutical, financial and other fields.

    Date:                Wednesday, March 18, 2015

    Time:               15:00-17:00

Venue:            Salons France-Amériques, 9 Avenue Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Paris 75008
