• The Pittsburgh Region: Center of U.S. Energy Excellence

    September 08 2011, 17:30 - 17:30
Location: Jones Day - 2, rue St. Florentin 75001 Paris

The Pittsburgh Region has a history and a future with energy in the United States. For 250-plus years, people in the region have been making energy work for them – and the world. It was the birthplace of the US natural gas industry and the first to drill a commercial oil well.

The Pittsburgh region’s portfolio of energy-related industries continues to grow and has the potential to change the world. Where natural resources including coal and natural gas still play a critical role in the region, a growing portfolio of nuclear and renewable energy technologies backed by cutting edge engineering expertise, innovation and advanced manufacturing are producing the next generation of products and solutions.
Amcham France and the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance would like to invite you to join representatives from key energy companies who have operations in the Pittsburgh region to hear about this growth and the business development opportunities this sector is bringing to the world. We also have the pleasure of being joined by Debra Mountford of the OECD who authored a report on how regions such as Pittsburgh are setting an example of how to lead a recovery during challenging recessionary times.
