• Press Conference on the 2007 barometer "Le moral des investisseurs americains en France"

    November 28 2007, 08:45 - 08:45
Location: The Press Club de France 8 rue Jean Goujon Paris 75008

The AmCham - Bain Barometer "Le Moral des investisseurs americains en France" has been a reference work on the investment climate in France since 1995.  In past years US companies have highlighted their concerns about rigid labor laws and high taxes, while praising France's infrastructure, education, and stability.  With the Sarkozy government promising substantial reforms in the labor and tax regimes, 2008 will be a particularly important year for the private sector to air its views.  AmCham President Francis Bailly (GE) and Treasurer Bertrand Pointeau (Bain) explained this year's results to a full house at AmCham partner, the Press Club de France.   The media, including Le Figaro, La Tribune, France 24, Radio BFM, CNN on-line and others highlighted this year's results, which show a clear rise in US investor confidence in France due to the election of Nicolas Sarkozy as President.
