    About the Event  

    Our 2 days seminar covers the basics of marketing focusing on value (how it is created, measured, communicated and delivered) as well as customer relationships (how to create satisfied and profitable satisfied and loyal customers).  This course is not designed to make marketing experts but to give an overview of the managerial perspective – exposing students to the tasks and decisions faced by marketing managers, including target market selection, competitive perceptual positioning, and the formulation of product, pricing, communication and distribution strategies and tactics.  Our learning emphasis is on practical market-based learning including a few case studies that reinforce the marketing concepts.

    About the Speaker - Professor Marco Protano

    25 year management track record building brand equity-driven businesses within Fortune 500 including Bristol-Meyers Squibb, RJR Nabisco, Nestle, First National Bank of Boston.  For private clients, Marco Protano advised on the building and managing of brands as well as the solving of complex marketing challenges across multiple sectors. He also co-conceived, co-launched, grew and sold entrepreneurial ventures in eCommerce and CPG.
    Graduated with MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School.  Received the Dean’s & Faculty Award for academic excellence as well as the Sheppard Award for Outstanding Service to the Community.  Also, graduated with BS in Business Administration (1985) from Northeastern University Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Societies.
