    AmCham France is pleased to invite selected President's Council and Corporate members to participate in a luncheon on trans-Atlantic trade issues and new international business initiatives under the Obama Administration, with a special focus on the National Export Initiative for promoting trade and investment, increasing U.S. competitiveness, and trade liberalization.

    Luncheon with Francisco J. Sanchez, Under Secretary (designate) for International Trade, U.S. Department of Commerce

    Francisco Sánchez is designated to be Under Secretary for International Trade in the Department of Commerce, the top official dealing with foreign business and trade issues.  Previously he served as a Special Assistant to President Obama for the Americas, and as Assistant Secretary of Transportation under President Clinton.   Prior to his work in the government, Mr. Sánchez practiced corporate and administrative law at Steel, Hector and Davis in Florida, and served in the administration of former Florida Governor Bob Graham as director of the state’s Caribbean Basin Initiative Program.  He has also been a consultant specializing in labor-management negotiations, litigation settlement, negotiation strategy, alliance management, facilitation and training.  He holds degrees form the University of Florida (BA), Florida State University (Law), and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.
