Paris, 21 May, 2012 –The American Chamber of Commerce in France had the honor of hosting U.S. Secretary of Commerce, John Bryson, for a roundtable discussion with AmCham Members. Representatives of companies including: Boeing, BNP Paribas, Carlson Wagonlit, Cisco, Disney, Dupont Nemours, Esso, FedEx, La Farge, Microsoft, NYSE Euronext, and Technicolor were present and took part in the discussion focusing on the close partnership between France and the US, Trade, and Investments.

“Investments are the heart of the US/France relations, or interelations. There has been 100s of billions in investments and France is the 5th largest source of investment with just about 200 billion FDI… mostly with Research and Development, or the Consumer market. It is also the most sophisticated investment relationship that the US has developed. (John Bryson, U.S. Secretary of Commerce)

We are very grateful to Secretary Bryson and his staff for providing the American Chamber of Commerce and its members with a unique opportunity to meet and discuss the state of Franco-American relations and the current economic climate.
