    Invest Your Way Out of the Crisis

    Edmund Shing and Grant Rogers will speak on five long term investment themes, for expatriates and others, and how to best implement them in an investment portfolio. They will cover a multi-strategy overview of all asset classes (equities, bonds, commodities, foreign exchange) and the macroeconomic scenario that underpins their views.
    They will then provide five long term investment themes:
    1)Why invest in Asia?
    2)Inflation vs. deflation and how to protect an investment portfolio from either.
    3)The best ways to invest in energy.
    4)Protection strategies against a falling dollar.
    5)Why income growth is a good strategy for investment portfolios.

    During his career, Edmund Shing has performed equity strategy roles for Goldman Sachs, Schroeder’s, Julius Baer Brokerage, and most recently, at AmCham member, BNP Paribas. He has a PHD in artificial intelligence from the University of Birmingham, an MSC in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Sussex, and an MA in Psychology from Oxford.  He appears regularly on CNBC and in the financial press.
    Grant Rogers founded Metis Capital Management in 2004, an investment advisory based in California and New York, which provides portfolio management to individuals and institutions. He was formerly with Julius Baer Brokerage (Paris), Groupe CIC (Paris), The Bank of Boston (Boston), and The Boston Company (Boston), in equity, fixed income, or foreign exchange instruments.
