IFRS in the U.S.: Where Are We Today?

Presented by Jean-Pierre Agazzi and Anthony Maarek-Partner and Senior Manager, Global IFRS and Offerings Services from Deloitte & Associés

Recently, the SEC issued a unanimous statement expressing its strong commitment to the development of a single set of high-quality globally accepted accounting standards and directing the SEC staff to perform due diligence activities to determine whether to incorporate the use of IFRS into the U.S. financial reporting system. A final decision regarding the implementation of IFRS into the U.S. financial reporting system is expected by 2011.
As the global financial reporting landscape is constantly being reshaped, this is your chance to gain insight into the state of IFRS in the U.S., the recent activity in the regulatory side as well as an update on convergence activities that are likely to affect the financial reporting and accounting standards in the near future.

Jean-Pierre Agazzi and Anthony Maarek have served various clients across multiple industries on financial reporting matters for nearly 15 years. Recent clients include companies in the telecom, technology, energy, retail and consumer business sectors. They are frequent speakers on IFRS, U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting topics.

Reservations must be received by close of business Friday, October 1, 2010.
