Getting your Message Through the BRIC Wall
With Eric Kuhn, Communications Specialist and former international journalist
For nearly a decade analysts have designated Brazil, Russia, India, and China as the new collective economic powerhouse called BRIC. More recent signs identified by The Conference Board show that output and productivity growth in these emerging markets still support enormous growth potential. But have companies fully embraced these markets with communications strategies that successfully translate their brand and corporate images? Are opportunities more often missed than realised? We’ll explore how a complex tapestry of societal and ethical factors requires a sophisticated communications approach to support BRIC business objectives.
Eric Kuhn is a communications specialist and former international journalist based in Paris, France.  He has provided public relations counsel and marketing program development to Fortune 100 clients in Europe and the U.S. for over a decade. In 2006 he founded Echo Kilo Communication, an independent Paris consulting firm that advises clients on communications and business strategy.  Previously a Vice President in the consumer technology group at Edelman Public Relations Worldwide in the U. S., Eric led the agency’s Microsoft account team working on the MSN.com portal evolution.  He also provided program development and strategic counsel during the Microsoft Games division’s X-Box pre-launch period, plus ongoing account team leadership for Microsoft commercial and educational software titles.
