    AmCham is pleased to collaborate with IFRI, France's foremost think tank, in this dinner debate with the new U.S. Ambassador.  Animated by AmCham President Jean-Claude Gruffat and IFRI President Thierry de Montbrial, Ambassador Rivkin will answer questions about Franco-American relations, current affairs, and the Obama administration.

    Biography
    Prior to his appointment as U.S. Ambassador to France, Charles Rivkin was the president and chief executive officer of W!LDBRAIN, an entertainment and animation production company in California.  Previously he worked for the Jim Henson Company for 15 years, becoming President and COO in 1995 and CEO in 2000.  Rivkin received a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.  He was the California Finance Co-chair for Barack Obama's campaign.  His father, a lawyer, was Ambassador to Luxembourg under President Kennedy and Ambassador to Senegal and Gambia under President Johnson.  The Rivkin family sponsors the annual Rivkin Award for constructive policy dissent in the U.S. State Department.
